Superb (but where are the girls!?) Geesh - it has been difficult to find superb children's books about robots! There are many picture books about robots and artificial intelligence, but very few which I would take the time to share with Little Guy & Noodle. And, unfortunately, even the good books trend towards boys interacting with robots - I found only one picture book for littles with a female protagonist and it's not included in what I consider the best of the best. My search began with Little Guy's robot and rescue transformers' obsession. His favorite game just now is "Transformer Yoga" where he moves from being a robot to a transformed vehicle as an example for the rest of us to practice. My favorite has been the robot to bulldozer - it's one Nonna can actually do well! (Until Little Guy added a somersault to the transformation, sigh.) Anyway, here are my recommendations for fun, beautiful and accurate picture books about robots I share with Little Guy & Noodle, as well as a superb read aloud series we've started. I do apologize that this list still trends sexist.... Calling children's book authors:
